Director Abhishek Kapoor's Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui In this after-Corona epidemic recovered world where we are all living a 'New Normal life', today there is also a need to discuss what is the 'Normal' in the true sense. Have we ourselves made many news rules and regulations regarding living normal life i.e. normal life? If not to break the barriers of conservatism, then at least the time has come to shake these rules, we have to work on it by stepping out of our comfort zone.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Movie Story

Manvinder Munjal aka Manu (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a fitness freak boy and the owner of the gym. Bodybuilder, getting ready for a local championship. One sweats day and night to make his muscles (dole-sholay). Focused on the goal. However, there is a loss in the gym business due to location. Not many clients are coming to the gym. But then sudden times change, circumstances change, emotions change. Maanvi Brar (Vaani Kapoor) enters in the gym. She comes to the gym as a Zumba instructor and need some space. Here the crowd grows in the gym, on the other side, butterflies start flying in the hearts of Manu and Manvi. But there is much more to men life than her beauty. This is the essence of the story and also the new twist of the story which presented by director in very simple manner. Storyline is very very simple, Ayushman Khurana and vaani kapoor fall in love, later Vaani kapoor accepted that she is transgender girl and later accepted by GOAT Ayushmann Khuranna.

The film does not harm to the transgender community at all, in many circumstances as is commonly complained of by mainstream cinema. But it is not that the case in this film its perfect in every sense. The first half of 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' does take your full attention and not let you to be diverted. The comedy sequences keep on coming.

Acting in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

Manu was a very typical, desi type boy. Keeps the no pain, no gain attitute and more English vote by putting up Jhad type posters. Being a man and training hard in the gym considers walking with shrugs and making body-shady. When Maanvi join the gym and says to him why don't join Zumba, she flatly refuses that I am a wrestler, not a typical girl. He will never shout for breaking his nose with a dumbbell, but he will cry when needle toughes his body slightly. When Maanvi Tells him that she is a transgender woman, he goes crazy. Till now, without whom he was not able to live, he cried in front of her that you are shaved manvi. I had sex with the boy. Lord i want to die, why am I not vomiting yet?

Here the film did not allow Ayushmann's aka Manu to become the messiah. Looking at the rest of the voice, it can be said that he has been used well as an actor in this film and justice the role as a local Chandigarh typical boy. In emotional scenes, Vaani Kapoor understands the pause of her dialogues, does not allow the tone to go up and down and performed well in this typical topic movie.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Direction

Supratik Sen and Tushar Paranjpe have done a wonderful job on the dialogues and screenplay. shown excellent in many scenes. Whether it is the Munjal family pressuring Manu to get married, waiting for his widower father (Girish Dhamija) to marry a Muslim girlfriend, Manvi's father (Kanwaljit Singh) supporting her daughter's choice, or Whether Manu's sisters interfere in their every matter till the end of the movie. The screenplay in every scene is presented with tight grip and it keeps you hooked.

The production design of Bindiya Chhabria is very colourfull and vibrant. Manoj Lobo has done a superb job as a cinematographer. Chandan Arora's editing is tight and orgnaised. Music by Sachin-Jigar and lyrics penned by Priya Saraiya, Vayu, IP Singh are lovely to listen and go nicely along with the story. However, there is a Holi song at the beginning of the film, which suddenly pops up on screen and one of the hit song in the movie.
